Professional Anglers Association tournament guidelines

Congratulations to the team of Brian Bylotas from Olyphant, PA & Joe Pacholec from Moosic, PA who won the 3rd points tournament of the  2009 season on Lake Wallenpaupack Saturday with 8 fish weighing 18.80 pounds.  They also had the tournament "Lunker" at 3.94 pounds.
Great Job Guys!!!

Congratulations to the following 1st Half teams which have secured a berth in the 2009 Highway Marine Classic.

Tim & Paul Bauman -- David Burket & Eddy Manjikian -- David Butenewicz, Jr. & Bob Soley -- Ed Hargraves & Jeffrey McMahon -- Tim Dafick & Tom Fariello -- Fred Huch & Jerry Madden -- Kenny Garippa & Donald Hennings -- Warren Wolk & Kevin Addy -- Bill Cowperthwait, III & Bill Cowperthwait, Jr. -- Don & Doug White

Which 10 teams will qualify from the 2nd Half?  Who will secure the "Wild Card" berth?  Who will be the Rookie Team for 2009?

even in these extremely trying economic times Highway Marine will once again step up to the plate and be our Classic sponsor for 2009.  THANKS!!!

The "Classic" is by Invitation to the top 10 teams from each half of the points tournaments, as well as the prior years "Classic Champions" provided they have fished a minimum of three tournaments in the current season.  Note: For your team to qualify you must have fished a minimum of five out of the six 2009 points tournaments.  Even if your team qualified in the first half, you could lose your eligibility if you don't meet the minimum number of tournaments.

*Note: For 2009 we will once again be adding a Wild Card berth from the September 27th Tournament.  A "Classic" berth will be awarded to the highest finishing team in the Points Standings which have not yet qualified via the Points Standings, as long as they have fished the prior five Points Tournaments.  They don't have to win, just be the highest finishing team of those teams not yet qualified.

"Times are changing, and in this case not for the better"

Bobby Uhrig from Mega Strike has given us notice that do to the extremely trying economic times he will not be unable to support us for either the Points Champions or the Rookie Team for 2009.  We would however like to THANK him for the support that he has demonstrated over the years and hopefully when the economy turns around he will come back on board as a sponsor, until then we wish him the best of luck.
